After attending a Colts game, my friend, Jim, and I decided to grab a burger at Champps.  After we sat down we realized what an awesome place it is to watch a game, or I should say, "games!"  Champps has every football game on countless TVs, it is a football fan's dream come true.  Jim and I ordered a couple beers and burgers and watched a few different games at the same time.  We decided that coming to Champps may be better than attending the actual game!

My favorite place to get a cup of coffee is Hubbard and Cravens in Broadripple.  People had been telling me that they liked H&C much more than Starbucks because it had atmosphere, and I agree.  They have free internet and comfortable places to sit and hang out.  Next time you feel like a cup of joe, give Hubbard and Cravens a try.

I love to bring a group of friends to Chumley's in Broadripple to get a pizza, a pitcher, and shoot some pool.  Many nights have been spent at Chumley's joking and laughing between enjoying a pizza slice and missing easy pool shots.  Chumley's has become my favorite bar and my pool game has improved as a result!

I played lacrosse at Butler and one of our favorite places to eat was Moe and Johnny's.  The food is great and the prices are fair.  We also loved to go there to watch a good game in the bar and grab a couple beers.  Many times we would have our pregame meals at Moe and Johnny's and the food is always great.

La Jolla in Broadripple provides a large outside seating area so that guests may enjoy their great mexican food while relaxing during a nice summer night.  I love cooling down with one of La Jolla's awesome margaritas and eating chips and salsa as a starter.  I also love to people watch as I eat and there are plenty of interesting people in Broadripple!

Le Peep is the best restaurant to grab brunch in Indianapolis.  I look forward to going to Le Peep after church on Sunday morning and enjoying their delicious "Granola Blues," which are blueberry and granola pancakes.  I also love Le Peep's french toast and omelets.  If you are hungry for breakfast or brunch, Le Peep should be your first choice!

I love good jazz music... almost as much as I love to eat!  The Jazz Kitchen serves up the best of both worlds.  Not only does the Jazz Kitchen have some of the best food around but guests are able to listen to some of the best local, regional, and national jazz musicians live, my favorite is the Frank Glover Quartet.  I highly recommend the Paella, which is a delicate blend of shrimp, scallops, calamari, fish, mussels, pork & chicken in a savory saffron rice.  It serves two and is one of my favorite seafood dishes of all time.  It is a great place to bring a date.  The Jazz Kitchen is located off of N College Ave in Indy, very close to Butler University.

All of my friends rave about how great 14 West is and now, after finally going there, I have become a believer as well.  I have never had scallops as tasty as the scallops in tomato confit.  The pork chop with pear chutney is also to die for.  Our server did a wonderful job of pairing our meal with a white wine that was extremely enjoyable.  The food is absolutely delicious and the modern atmosphere is relaxing.  Since it is located downtown it is the perfect beginning to a night in Indy.

One of my favorite places to hang out after a long day is Working Man's Friend Tavern.  It is a great place to grab a cold beer after work while enjoying one of their award winning burgers and a stack of onion rings.  Its a perfect place to meet up with buddies after work to unwind after a stressful day at the office.  It is located off Belmont Ave. in Indy it is a central location to everyone around the city to meet up and kick back.  The next time you are feeling like a burger, head over to Working Man's Friend Tavern.

I was craving mexican food one night and decided to try out the Adobo Grill on 82nd street.  I with my roommate, Nick, at about 7:00pm and, after a short wait, was seated at a comfortable booth.  Our server was nice and friendly and after taking our drink orders suggested the guacamole as a starter.  Nick and I both like to eat and were quite hungry at the time so we decided to take her advice.  The guacamole was so good that I'm not sure it lasted five minutes on the table.  We both loved our entrees and even saved room for dessert, the plantain crepes.  Nick and I both loved our experience at Adobo Grill and plan on bringing our girlfriends back soon for a double date!

My girlfriend, Siobhan, and I were brainstorming one morning about places we could go for breakfast and nothing really sounded that good to me. She finally suggested Cafe Patachou, a small restaurant on 49th and Pennsylvania street. I had never heard of it but she said that she had always heard wonderful things about the food and atmosphere, so we decided to give it a try. As soon as we arrived I noticed that they were extremely busy and my dad always says that is a great sign to a good restaurant. We were seated at the bar after a short wait and both ordered the French toast, which is what Siobhan had heard such wonderful things about and now I know why. If you are ever in the area, make sure to give Cafe Patachou a try for breakfast or lunch!

I had never been to St. Elmo’s steak house but had heard all about it when I moved out to Indianapolis for school. It is located in downtown Indy so I would often see it when I was in the city going out with friends or heading to a game. I finally made it there and now I know why everyone loved St. Elmo’s so much, it was honestly the best steak I have ever had… and that’s saying something. Even though the menu price is a little steep it is definitely worth the experience. St. Elmo’s instantly became my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis!

If you want a great steak and don't feel like going into downtown Indy, my favorite restaurant, Sullivan's, is the place for you!  The warm brick oven atmosphere is the ideal place to spend the evening enjoying the finest wines in the midwest and a New York Strip that will melt in your mouth. While your wallet may be a little lighter after your indulgence, the price is well worth the steaks and your total experience.

My favorite place to get a pizza with my buddies is Bazbeau Pizza in Broadripple.  I always knew that their pizza was very good and extremely popular with my friends but I recently learned just how popular Bazbeau's is.  I was flying back to Indy and picked up a magazine that was ranking the best places to get a pizza in large cities and Bazbeau Pizza was first on the list!  I highly recommend the BBQ or the Hawaiian, those two are my favorites but I'm sure you can't go wrong.  You have a ton of different choices since their menu is so big.  Bazbeau Pizza is the best restaurant for pizza in Indy, bar-none.

As a college student I love places that I can get breakfast food anytime of the day since I rarely see the morning during the weekend.  Broadripple Bagel and Deli makes great bagel sandwiches with very creative names, my favorite is the "De-La-Wee."  They also give you the option to create your own bagel and put a name on it to hang up on their crowded menu wall.  Ripple Bagel and Deli steams all of their bagels which makes them soft and tastey.  If you are feeling like a Chi-Dog, they boast that they make the best one you'll ever taste thanks to their Veinna Beef hotdogs.  My favorite thing at Ripple Bagel and Deli is their chocolate peanut butter rice krispy treats, they are unbelievebly good!  Give them a try, its worth the hassle of finding a parking spot in Broadripple, I promise.

5 Guys is a new restaurant that opened in Indy right off of 86th street a little east of Michigan.  It specializes in hamburgers but their hot dogs and fries are also delicious.  It makes me feel at home because 5 Guys started back in the Washington D.C. metro area (I am from Northern Virginia).  Before moving to Indy for college, 5 Guys was my favorite restaurant to grab a burger.  Also, their burgers are lean beef and their fries are made with peanut oil so you do not have to feel so guilty when enjoying your meal.  Give 5 Guys a chance, I promise you will see why the Washingtonian Magizine named their burgers the "best burger in Washington" six years in a row.  I bet it won't be long before they have the best burger in Indy!

Recently, I went to Bucca Di Beppo's to celebrate a birthday dinner with a group of about ten friends and I was blown away with how smoothly it went. The servers were knowledgable and friendly and seemed to have much experience dealing with large groups. Usually it can be somewhat difficult to take a large group out but with the family style dining, we were able to order a few different items that everyone would enjoy. The spaghetti is a must and the chicken marsala was to-die-for. It was a great, authentic Italian meal. The menu price was a little steep, but the ambience and the service made it well worth it.They had a large variety of Italian food and the deserts are off the charts (I especially recommend the tiramisu). I have and will continue to recommend it to people taking large groups of friends out for a great meal.

One of my favorite places in Indy is a sushi resaurant in Broadripple called Naked Tchopstix.  I had never had sushi before when my best friend, Pat, suggested we try it.  When we got there I was a little intimidated by the menu and asked our server what she recommended.  She said that the Playboy Roll was, by far, everyone's favorite item.  Pat and I took her word for it and each ordered a Playboy Roll with a side of fried rice... I have never been so happy taking someone's advice, the Playboy Roll is definitely what to order when dining at Naked Tchopstix!  It has a little spice to it but it really isn't that spicy.  If you are looking for a mild roll, my girlfriend really likes the Maui Roll which has a slice of mango in each piece... she loves it.  If you are ever in Broadripple and are feeling a little on the adventuous side you absolutely must try the Playboy Roll at Naked Tchopstix!

Last weekend, my girlfriend, Siobhan, and I went to Clay Terrace in Carmel for dinner.  We ended up at Kona Grill and after a short wait, while checking out the menu, we were seated at a comfortable booth.  Both of us were impressed by the atmosphere but we felt it was slightly too dark, Siobhan may have called ahead to have them turn the lights down so she didn't have to look at me!  We started off with a sushi dish called the Spyder Roll and absolutely loved it and look forward to going back to try some other delicious sounding rolls.  Siobhan ordered the Macademia Nut Crusted Chicken and I ordered the Island Meatloaf.  I know what you're thinking, who orders meatloaf at a fancy restuarant?  Well, the answer is I do and I am very happy I did!  Siobhan and I loved our dishes but the portions were a little big, but that just means left-overs!  We even saved room for dessert and ordered the Macademia Nut Pie which was very tasty.  The service was second to none, our server was very personable and the manager stopped by our table twice to check up on us.  The menu price was a little high but felt the food was more than worth it.  Siobhan and I have a new favorite restaurant in Indy.
