So today I wanted to mention a place that I hold near and dear to my heart. It is probably one of the best places to go to grab a bite to eat in Broad Ripple. The place is called Ripple Bagel and Deli and is located on the main strip of Broad Ripple.

If you haven't been, I would suggest going as soon as you can. It has an extensive menu, divided up by different types of meats that you might be feeling for your lunch time meal. The names of the foods are definitely unique, with names such as "Tape Your Ankles" and "The Hoosier Daddy". You really can't go wrong with a place like this. Everyone is going to find something that they like there, even if you are a vegetarian. All the sandwiches are put on a bagel of your choice (Everything, Poppy Seed, Blueberry and more) and they are all "Steamed to Perfection". The people behind the counter are ALWAYS friendly and are there to please. Also, if you are interested in making your own, you can ask for the "Lottery" and you get your choice of any toppings. And if you really want to design your own sandwich, they will give you a piece of paper and a bag of crayons to write down what you want on it, and add your little touch of creativity to the whole scene. They will even make it if you order it!

The atmosphere is laid back, relaxed and a good place to just hang out with your friends. They are even open until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights! So definitely try out this one of a kind place located in the heart of Broad Ripple at 850 Broad Ripple Avenue, right across from Cardinal Fitness.

Without the company of Meghan, the Marketing Crew here at Compendium decided to go on with our weekly lunch. This week Megan chose a place that we walked by one time when we were on our way to the city market… Stars Sandwich Market. If you want to check out Compendium Blogware and What we are all about you can go ahead and Click Here!

Stars Sandwich Market was another one of those small places that typically you wouldn’t hear about unless you have friends who have been there a few times. When we walked in, there were several different types of pre-made, wrapped sandwiches on shelves in these upright coolers. We all scanned around and found something we were interested in. Megan ordered the special which was a half of bacon and egg salad sandwich, a soup and a drink. She thought it was great that the “special” was a flat $6.00. It just makes things easier if it is even anyway. She said that it wasn’t anything too spectacular… I mean it is really hard to mess up a sandwich. Mikey got the same thing, but the whole sandwich, the tomato soup and the drink. He said that it really ‘hit the spot’ and he would start putting bacon on his egg salad sandwiches. I had the Southwestern Chicken wrap, the tomato soup and a drink. The wrap was very good. I would say it tasted like a taco on a wrap… not a burrito though. The dill tomato soup that all of us ordered was simply amazing. We all agreed that it was delicious and Mikey went so far as to say that he was going to put dill in all of his soup from now on. Megan actually said that she would even go back for just the soup. I thought it was amazing, but when it was my turn to order, the man behind the counter didn’t have enough soup for a large bowl, so I had to just take what was left. The moral of that story is get there early because the soup is worth it.

As for price, it was very reasonably priced. Mikey thought it was a ‘good bang for your buck’. The atmosphere there is a little different than we expected. It was kind of a “throw-back” place, as in 50’s music, tables and stools. Also we felt that it would be a great ‘Grab and Go’ place to go for lunch. So if you are looking for something quick and delicious… go ahead and try out the Stars Sandwich Market at 116 N. Delaware, a little south of Market Street on Delaware. Also, if you want to check out their menu before you go in, you can look at their website Here.

I enjoyed brunch for the first time at Indianapolis restaurant Zest! last weekend and my experience and my meal were fantastic!  This neighborhood cafe is located in "SoBro" and features brunch and lunch fare as well as the occasional special dinner event.  We were promptly greeted and offered coffee while we waited for a table.  Although it looked crowded the restaurant was much bigger than it appeared and we were seated within a few minutes.

Zest! touts a menu of homestyle foods with an urban fare and is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Shop open until 4 p.m. through the week.

I enjoyed the breakfast burrito which was filled with deliciousness!  Of course it had eggs and sausage and cheeses but the kicker was the fresh avocado, black beans, and yummy salsa.  It was great!  My fellow diners enjoyed the panini and homestyle breakfast offers.  These offerings also had the traditional breakfast ingredients with some extra special ingredients that were great.

This lovely establishment with its inviting decor, courteous staff will definitely remain on my list as a fave for Indianapolis breakfast restaurants and among the top for restaurants in Broad Ripple.  I also look forward to trying lunch and their takeout delicatessan offerings soon... stay tuned!

What I love about this Downtown Indianapolis Steak Restaurant is the setting itself.  (I'll get to the food)  I like windows and because of Mo's location on the Corner of Pennsylvania and E. Maryland you have great windows not only in the front, but also all along the wall on the Maryland side.   I love reviewing Indianapolis restaurants, but don't often get to talk about windows...but once you have them you hate to give them up.   We are blessed with some great Steak Restaurants in Downtown Indy including Morton's, St. Elmo's, Shula's and Ruth Chris' but none has nearly the great interior of Mo's.

Mo's Steak indianapolis restaurant reviews IndyWhen you think of Indianapolis Nightlife, Mo's is well located next to Conceo Fieldhouse so it's perfect for before or after an event.   The bar is great for Pub beers and terrific Martini's or anything else you would want in a cocktail.  They do serve lunch but are much better suited as an Indianapolis Dinner Restaruant.  No entertainment so it's not a nightlife place except for the other people who keep it buzzing.

Oh the food....delicious.  Excellent Steaks including a huge Porterhouse and awesome filets.  Some seafood and of course a hamburger.   What more can I say?

I would put Mo's clearly in among the best restaurant in Indianapolis and one of my favorite Date places..... Fine Dining for sure.

This week Meghan (with an “H”) was in charge of making the decision for the weekly Compendium Blogware Marketing team lunch. If you want to check out Compendium and what we do you can Click Here.

This week Meghan chose a place that is just around the corner from our office called King David Dogs. It is a small place on Pennsylvania Street in the heart of Indianapolis. When you walk in you will see the menu posted right there on the wall. They have a full menu with foods ranging from a corn dog to a New York Dog with sauerkraut, mustard, and a New York style Onion Relish. They serve quarter pound hot dogs on a poppy seed bun (or if you want a pretzel bun) topped with almost anything you want. After leaving the restaurant Megan said she was “thoroughly stuff and did not anticipate being that way.” So when you go make sure you are hungry because the meals are larger than you might expect. She and Meghan ordered the Chicago Dog which had mustard, tomato, a sliced pickle, sweet relish, and onions. Both of them thought it was delicious. To add on, Megan said that it was a “fork and knife” meal and you’re definitely going to need napkins when you get your food, so stock up when you get your drink because it is kind of messy. Meghan also said that it was good for a cold day because all the food is “warm food”. Mikey ordered the New York Dog along with a cup of chili. He also requested some chili on his dog, but the hot dog guru behind the counter advised against it because it would be like a double chili bomb and he might regret it in his future. Mikey said he was glad that he took the guru’s advice. I decided to be adventurous and try the Pretzel dog. It was the same hot dog, but on a pretzel bun. I didn’t know what to put on top of it, so again I took the guru’s advice and put some chili and cheese on top and I did not regret it. However, it is very filling because the pretzel bun is a little larger than the normal bun and I had to take some of it home. As for the price, I think Meghan put it best when she said that it was very reasonably priced for all the food you get (your dog and fries or tater tots). It made the price even better when you order a drink, you get a nice souvenir cup with the King David Dogs logo on it to take back to work for a water cup. Also if you are a ice eater, the ice is light and fluffy, kind of like snow but when it is packed together a little (that is as well as I can describe it so just go get the ice).

The atmosphere was awesome because it gives you that hole-in-the-wall feeling when you walk in. It might not be good for a business meeting because the food might end up on your suit. However, it would be good if you are wanted to step out of your comfort zone and try someplace different. It would also be good for a date, but be sure to bring your gum because those onions will mess with your breath. It would be a great place to grab some lunch in downtown Indianapolis. So if you are looking for a place you can get a hot dog with pretty much whatever you want on it check out King David Dogs located at 15 North Pennsylvania.

Au Bon Pain Downtown Indianapolis Lunch Restaurant SoupAu Bon Pain
26 Monument Circle
Indianapolis, IN 46202
Phone: 317-226-9300
Fax: 317-636-9128

So in the beginning I was resistant to Au Bon Pain when they first opened on the Circle in Downtown Indianapolis.   I liked the South Bend Chocolate Factory and felt bad supporting a evil national competitor opening right next door.  I also hate names that I can't pronounce very well...

So I was wrong.  I probably frequent Au Bon Pain more that any other restaurant on the circle.  An they are not evil.   If you look at the Au Bon Pain website, you will find that they are front and center with all of their nutrition information for every menu item.  Health Magazine has named them one of the healthiest restaurants.   The food is really good and has a wide variety.  Every day they have an assortment of soups, and as you can see from the video, they encourage sampleing.   (I'm sure you could sneak in a lunch just on the samples)  The also have lots of portion appropriate salds already made up, along with fresh wraps and half sandwiches.   I wouldn't call this a dinner restaurant,  it's more like a delicatessen with great lunch food that's fast.  They also have really good breakfast foods and for cookies&muffins it's one of the best bakeries in Indianapolis.

The people are friendly and I'm happy to write a positive review of this great downtown Indianapolis restaurant.

Today we are happy to post a review from guest blogger  Nicki Laycoax of Squish Designs:

I was craving a big healthy salad for lunch today. Not certain where
to find the best salad downtown, I chose a delicatessen that I had
eaten at before-Shapiro's. Shapiro's is an ala carte dining option.

The line starts with desserts ranging from fresh fruit flan and cheesecake
to cakes, pies, and fresh fruit. I chose the Devil's Food Cake that had a layer of
cheesecake between two layers of cake. It was topped with shavings of
white chocolate, chocolate icing, and fudge drizzling.

The next option I was presented with were the salads. Though I really
wanted a salad today, I opted out of the large salad and instead, got my
fresh veggie fix by selecting the broccoli, bacon, and grape salad. (Waldorf maybe?)

Then it was on to the main course selection. Tuna Salad on Freshly Baked Rye
Bread... While it was the most expensive tuna salad sandwich I've purchased
in the area, $8.15, it was definitely in the top 2 best that I have had (it's a toss-up
between Jimmy John's and Shapiro's)

Total for lunch: $17.05=Sandwich, salad, cake, and iced water. It was quick, delicious, but on
the upper end of what I like to pay for lunch...

One big bonus-They use PatronPath! If downtown you can order online and have your food ready when you arrive!

In Carmel Indiana, use this link for Shapiro's Online

McCormick&Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at the Corner of Illinois&Market Streets at the base of the Downtown Hilton
(317) 631-9500

As an interested party to this Indianapolis Dining Guide, I'm always on the lookout for something different.  Typically during the day downtown I eat lunch as someplace fast.   The other day however, I found myself wanting to go someplace nice with my partner Ali and our big time Lawyer (patent work).   McCormick & Schmick's was perfect.   The place has just the right mix of being busy with downtown workers (all wearing ties) yet still easy enough to get in and out of.  We took a booth in the bar which is really nice looking with big booths and a great wooden bar.   They have two TV's up high and turned down low on ESPN so you could catch some highlights out of the corner of your eye...but not be intruded on.

Indianapolis menu guide:  they update the menu twice a day so you always know whats fresh & available.

Although McCormick & Schmick's is a great lunch spot, it's has really good seafood, terrific for dates,  but perhaps most popular among the crowd here at Compendium Blogware it's the best happy hour downtown. I wouldn't call it a place for Indianapolis nightlife,   but what is so appealing is the great bar and the terrific drinks.  Happy hour is fun and crowded partly because of the great menu.   Everything from fish tacos (for the mexican food lover) to one of the best Hamburgers in Indianapolis all for like....$1.95 each.   Great prices for great food.   All in all, a place I would highly recommend.  See the Video for a sense of the Lunchtime ambiance...

So this week was my choice in where the Marketing Staff at Compendium would be going for lunch. You can check out Compendium Blogware by Clicking Here.

This week I decided to go back to the cornucopia that is the City Market and try out this place called Philadelphia Steak&Cheese. Joined by Monica this time, we agreed that it was a good place to eat, but some felt like the food needed something else. We all ordered Philly Cheese Steaks, but there were also burgers on the menu along with breakfast foods that I believe are only served in the morning. Mikey and Monica felt that the sandwiches could have used more cheese. Monica also thought that the meat tasted like it was re-heated beef, which I guess has a different taste. She also said that the “seasoned fries” would be better if they had the peel on and they need to have lots more seasoning. Mikey mentioned, “The next time I go, I might opt for one for the burgers that I didn’t see until I got up to the counter.”  Meghan said that her sandwich and food was delicious. She had never had a Philly Cheese Steak before and doesn’t have anything to compare it to, but “for the first time it was really, really good and I want to go back.” As for the boss lady, Megan, she really enjoyed her Philly experience. She said that her food was fresh and hot, but could have used more seasoning and cheese. Megan mentioned that it was not as greasy as expected and she really liked the wheat bun (isn’t all wheat bread just wheat bread?). And since it was Boss’s day, we all pitched in for her meal and she loved “that my wonderful team paid for my lunch.” As for my meal, I felt like it was great. I had gone once before last spring, and it was just as good as I remembered. And just like everyone else, I wish there was a little bit more cheese on the sandwich, but overall I thought it was great.

Now the atmosphere of the whole lunch is something we all agree on. Meghan said, “As always, the atmosphere was excellent.” She also felt that the guys behind the counter brought Philadelphia to Indianapolis. Mikey thought the staff was awesome and if you speak even a little Spanish, there is a free lesson at the end of the line. The man there speaks Spanglish and as Mikey found out, if you speak even a little Spanish to him, he will talk in only Spanish. So who-ever said you can’t learn at a fast food restaurant, you can tell them they are wrong. Monica thought the service was very efficient and well organized. The owner really knows how to make a quick, good Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. However, don’t be polite to the cashier (who I think is a real Philadelphian) because he gets thrown off and doesn’t know how to respond. When I gave him my money, I said thank you (just like my mom taught me to do) and the cashier said, “Why are you all being some polite to me, I work in the fast food business, you’re supposed to abuse me.” But I think he was kidding…. a little.

So if you are in the mood for a quick taste of Philadelphia, you don’t have to worry about driving out there and the price of gas. Just cruise over to the City Market located at 222 East Market Street, right in downtown Indianapolis and get your free Spanish lesson along with a good sandwich.  If you want to check out was else the City Market as to offer you can Click Here.

Actually, Giorgio's is not only the best pizza in Indianapolis for lunch, it's also the perfect Pizza for meetings and in office events.  If I were writing and Indianapolis dining guide, this would be at the top of my list as among the best fast food Indianapolis.

Located just off the circle on East Market street, what you will love about Giorgio's (other than Giorgio himself who always makes you feel special) is the urban feel...unusual for and Indianapolis Restaurant.   I've tried to capture the essence in the video here, but there is a great process for ordering with all the pizza, pastas, salads&sandwiches on display.   The place is always full but never so crowded that you want to turn away.  Even if you see a line out the door, it moves fast.   Inside there is plenty of seating and a really nice din that you won't feel at any of the other Indianapolis Lunch Restaurants I frequent.  I wouldn't call this a date restaurant and not a dinner type Italian Restaurant but of restaurant's I review in Indianapolis, this is one of my favorites.

This week, we put trust in Mikey to choose where the Marketing Team here at Compendium went to lunch. You can check out Compendium Blogware’s website by Clicking Here.

A small Cuban restaurant on Market Street, next to the Capital building is where we spent our lunchtime today. The place is called Tata’s Cuban Cafe. If you are in the mood for some authentic Cuban, this is the place to go. The menu isn’t too confusing, with 12 dishes (6 sandwiches and 6 entrees), you won’t feel overwhelmed while looking through it. Megan and I both got the Sandwich Cubano El Quaso, which has some pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles all in a conglomeration, joined by being hot pressed on a Cuban bun. Megan and I both agree that is was very good, but could have used more condiments. She said it was “perfectly pressed” and she would defiantly go back to get the same sandwich, but would also like to try the Shrimp Varadero. The other Meghan ordered the Pan con Bistec Santa Palabra which is a thin grilled top sirloin that is marinated in citrus juice along with an abundance of grilled onions, all on pressed bread. She thought it was a lot of food for a great price. She also said it was very good and it “Satisfied my Cuban craving.” However, it was a messy sandwich, with lots of onions but be prepared to use lots of napkins. Meghan also mentioned that the service was great, very nice and accommodating. Also, the sandwiches are much larger than you expect so come hungry, or be prepared to take some home with you for left-overs. Mickey however decided to get an entrée. He ordered the Arroz Amarillo cienfuego. It consisted of yellow rice, with some herbs and corn along with grilled chicken and sweet plantains. He said that he really liked it and it “whisked me away to another place.” Mickey also mentioned that “the rice tasted really good... and so did the chicken.” So apparently he enjoyed it. He also mentioned something about wanting to go there for his next birthday party. So interpret that as you wish.

About the atmosphere, Megan felt it was a quaint place to grab lunch but defiantly allow yourself an hour if you can. If you can’t they also do carry-out, so that might be another option if you are limited on time. They have a patio outside with a few tables and chairs that is a great place to enjoy the day and eat some Cuban food. I must warn you that if you want to sit and eat, you better get there a little before noon because once 12:15 hits, it will fill up quick and you might find yourself without a table. Also, if you like the aroma of Cuban food, that is great because you will be sporting a new scent of Cuban cuisine for the rest of the day. So if you want to check out Tata’s Cuban Café it is located at 137 West Market Street here in Indianapolis. If you want to check out their website Click Here.

If you're looking for terrific fast food Indianapolis.  Look no further than Yat's on the north side.

I dropped in for lunch and I was eating my creole meal within minutes.

Einstein Bros. Bagels:  http://www.einsteinbros.com
Location: 47 S. Illinois St.

DLG Rating: 7/10

Bagels anyone?  Everyone knows Einstein's, the famous morning bagel shop, but did you know that they serve lunch as well?  Apparently, no one does downtown as this place is usually pretty empty on a normal business day.  Fast service and decent food, make this place an adequate quick lunch in downtown Indy.

The menu is pretty much what you'd expect (bagel sandwiches) with a few exceptions.  A new one to me was the bagel dog.  Stick a hot dog in a bagel and some people call that lunch!  I've yet to be brave enough to try one, but check back soon as I promise I'll give one a try.

All sandwiches are served with a side (potato salad, cole slaw or chips).  DLG recommendation = potato salad.

Today we decided that the Marketing team here at Compendium Blogware needed to check out the City Market a few blocks down from us for lunch. If you want to check out Compendium’s website Click Here.

We originally went for some Greek food, but upon arrival we realized the cornucopia of merchants there. Meghan, Mikey, and I decided to check out this place called Las Senoritas instead of going with Greek (the other Megan stuck with her gut and got the Greek food). We each ordered something different to get a real feel for the place. Mikey went with the ‘Burrito Gigante’ which is a burrito with chicken, refried beans, some rice, and chips and salsa. He told me that it was great and, “It wasn’t life changing, but it made me briefly reflect on my life, ‘Wow I have this burrito in my life and only two blocks away.’” Meghan bought the ‘Lunch Special #1’ which was two tacos beans and rice (just a hint, don’t ask for steak in your taco because they only do that for burritos). I got the ‘Wild Burrito’ which is literally half chicken and half beef, kind of crazy… I know. It is one of those burritos that will fall apart when you try to pick it up and eat it, so defiantly grab a fork and napkins while you are waiting. The first few bites were beef, and then all of a sudden it was chicken on my fork. Very delicious and everything I dreamed it could be and more! As for the atmosphere of the City Market, in a word I would say, busy. There were several people there grabbing a quick bite to eat on their lunch break from work. Meghan actually said it was really cool and it was the kind of place you would see in like Seattle. As for price, it was pretty inexpensive for the food you get. However, make sure you bring your cash because it is only a cash only location.

As Megan who went with the Greek food, she came back with a Chicken Gryo. She said that it was a perfect proportion and they always seem to have fresh food. Also, the owner is always very friendly. She told me that the Tzatziki sauce is a little spicier than she remembered the chicken was a little dryer than she likes, but the pita was fresh and delicious and overall… she would go back again. As for the price, it is pretty reasonable for the proportions and would recommend it to anyone. There are several other places to check out at the City Market, so there might be more posts about this great place in Indianapolis!

Ah Barista Cafe - http://www.ahbarista.com
Location: 201 S. Capitol Ave.

DLG Rating: 8/10

Ah Barista Cafe is a little less-known place on the ground floor of the Pan Am Building.  It features a variety of sandwiches and salads, good for a quick lunch.  The sandwiches are a fairly good size, come with chips and usually fill the appetite with a solid light lunch.  If you are a big eater, this is not your place.

Some of the specials include: Taco Salad, Pizza Pretzel Paninis, Loaded Baked Potatoes and some other very unique choices.  The cafe serves all Boar's Head meats, so the sandwiches are quality.

Another plus to the cafe is a plethora of drink options - every type of coffee, Italian cream sodas and much, much more.

The most enjoyable part of grabbing lunch at Ah Barista is the staff.  Always very cordial and helpful with great recommendations.

Jillian's - http://www.jilliansbilliards.com
Location: 141 S. Meridian St #100

DLG Rating: 6.5/10

A forgotten about lunch spot, Jillian's features a diverse menu.  The wait staff is average and some desire to talk to the hostess more than wait on their tables.  Overall, the food is a B-/C+.

http://indianapolis.jilliansbilliards.com/

If you're looking to go out to a quiet place to have a discussion or hang out with a few friends that love sports, Jillian's could be a good fit.  The restaurant is almost never busy and sports are played on every one of the televisions. I imagine this would be a great place to catch a Colts game on Sundays.

Jillian's could really be summed up as serving up-scale bar food. Nothing is bad, but nothing is great.

Patachou On The Park - http://www.cafepatachou.com
Location:  225 W Washington St (Simon Building First Floor)

DLG Rating:  8/10

I got my first taste of Patachou today, and in two words it was delicious and slow.  The menu contained what seemed like hundreds of choices, so the more indecisive folks among us might find it a little difficult to settle on one item.  It’s also one of the few places I’ve seen in the downtown area with breakfast for lunch.  An array of omelets, waffles and breakfast sandwiches take up an entire side of the menu.  The flipside of the menu contains your more typical café food with a twist.  Another bonus in my book was the outside seating right on Washington St.

Now for the ugly… it was slow.  Almost painfully slow to eat there.  Now I always take the fact that my situation could have been unique and not the norm, but if you don’t have an hour (hour plus in our case) to spend at lunch this isn’t your place.

Harry and Izzy’s - http://www.harryandizzys.com
Location: 153 S. Illinois St

DLG Rating:  9.9/10

St. Elmo’s got it right when it branched off the sister restaurant Harry and Izzy’s.  A place to get a great steak and shrimp cocktail that also does light lunch fare is heaven in my book.  This is the number one spot for business lunches in the city.  The cost is similar to the RAM Brewery across the street, but the food is where it really blows away the competition.  Peppercorn steak salad, prime rib sandwich and hot pastrami sandwich are just a few of the items that all cost between $10-13 and will fill up the biggest appetites.  Okay, I’ve got to stop drooling now so I can write the rest of this…

The atmosphere is also second to none in the city.  Every table has a very secluded feel that allows for great conversation.  Although I haven’t experience it first hand, the bar looks to be top notch.

Along the lines of St. Elmo’s, the service at Harry and Izzy’s is always great.  The wait staff is knowledgeable about the food and can really give you some good advice if you can’t choose the right meal.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m thinking about going back for that great hot pastrami sandwich tomorrow!!

Bazbeaux - http://www.bazbeaux.com/
Location:  334 Massachusetts Ave

DLG Rating:  9/10Bazbeaux Pizza

Okay, I promise every restaurant doesn’t get an eight or nine rating, I just like to review what I like first.  And, like is an understatement about Bazbeaux.  The lunch menu is perfect for a quick and delicious lunch… four different by-the-slice options, side salads or, for the pickier, the full menu is available.  Service is quick. Lines are sometimes long, but you never wait for more than 10 minutes to get your food.

By far the cheapest place I’ve reviewed so far as the standard lunch (two slices, side salad and drink) totals about $8.  Obviously, if you go off the menu it can get much pricier.

You’ve got to try some of their specialty slices if you go… The quattro, veggie and BBQ chicken are all scrumptious!!

Tucked away in the northeast side of Indianapolis on the Geist Reservoir lays one of my favorite sports bars and restaurants that I have ever been to.  One of the reasons for my preference of this excellent Indianapolis restaurant is the fact that lots of my friends work there, and I love getting to see people I know when I go out to eat, but the main reason is the fact that it serves delicious food in a restaurant known for its night life and family restaurant style during the day.  While I am not old enough to have much of an opinion when it comes to Indianapolis bars, or any bars Visit Casler's Kitchen and Bar's menu and dining guidefor that matter, I would have to say that it seems to be quite an enjoyable place at night when I pass by it at night while driving to friends' houses.  However, I can comment on the delicious food that Casler's serves to me each and every time that I have been there!   If you are looking for a great burger, steak, pizza, or french fries (which I would assume just about everyone eats) then Casler's is the place for you.  My personal favorite at this restaurant would have to be either its cheese fries appetizer or its meaty pizza, as I usually end up eating the entire thing to myself when I go there for lunch or dinner with my family!  They also have a very nice atmosphere that mixes the sports bar and pub with the outside edges being booths for family enjoyment (not saying that the sports theme doesn't come across in the family section however!).  Casler's is a great place to visit, and I would suggest to anyone who is tired of the downtown traffic to head up to Geist Reservoir at Olio Road and 116th Street and check it out!
